The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior General Accountant to join our financial team in the telecommunications industry. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including the reconciliation of discrepancies and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data and provide insights on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Conduct periodic audits of financial data to ensure integrity and accuracy, preparing reports of findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • ACCA/ACMA
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
