Performance Compliance Officer

The Performance &Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring thatthe organization adheres to internal policies and externalregulations as well as monitoring and improving operationalperformance. This role involves conducting audits assessingcompliance risks developing performance metrics and implementingcorrective actions to ensure organizational efficiency andregulatory adherence.
KeyResponsibilities:
- ComplianceMonitoring andEnforcement:
- Developand implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to legalstandards and internal policies.
- Conductregular audits and inspections to monitor compliance withregulations and internal policies.
- Identify andassess areas of compliance risk; develop strategies to mitigatethese risks.
- Stay updated on relevant laws andregulations and communicate any changes to the appropriatedepartments.
- PerformanceManagement:
- Developand implement performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency andeffectiveness of organizationalprocesses.
- Analyze performance data to identifytrends areas for improvement and success.
- Workwith department heads to set performance goals and develop actionplans to achieve them.
- Prepare and presentperformance reports to seniormanagement.
- TrainingandDevelopment:
- Designand deliver training programs on compliance and performanceimprovement.
- Educate staff on new policiesprocedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provideguidance and support to departments in developing their owncompliance and performanceinitiatives.
- PolicyDevelopment andImplementation:
- Assistin the development and updating of organizational policies andprocedures.
- Ensure that policies and proceduresare effectively communicated and enforced throughout theorganization.
- Monitor the implementation of newpolicies to ensure they are followedcorrectly.
- Investigationsand CorrectiveActions:
- Investigateincidents of noncompliance and performanceissues.
- Develop and oversee the implementationof corrective actions to address noncompliance and performancegaps.
- Report findings and corrective actions tosenior management and relevant regulatory bodies asrequired.
- ReportingandDocumentation:
- Maintainaccurate and uptodate records of compliance activities performancemetrics and training sessions.
- Preparecomprehensive reports on compliance status and performance outcomesfor internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuredocumentation is in line with regulatory requirements and bestpractices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorsdegree in Business Administration Law Finance or a relatedfield.
- Professional certification in compliance(e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)) is anadvantage.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience ina compliance audit or performance managementrole.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatoryframeworks and standards.
- Excellent analyticalorganizational and problemsolvingskills.
- Effective communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guideothers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suiteand familiarity with compliance managementsoftware.
