Roles &Responsibilities
  • Ensuring dailystatus report prepared, updated, and closely monitoring for allImport / Export LandFreight
  • RelatedTransportation Forwarding and Clearance Jobs at GCC Border CheckPosts / Customs
  • Preparation aswell verification of all Documentations as requiredfor GCC Imports / Exports as per Customs Regulations of UAE,KSA aswell Oman.
  • Assure on time andaccurate Job file Opening & Customs Filepreparation
  • Provide Customs Clearance brokerswith needed documents as per Law of the land.
  • Follow-up with Customs Offices at BorderPosts and Customs Brokers to get latest shipmentstatus
  • Ensure accurate and on time statusupdate for all jobs
  • Flag issues to Managertowards any issues related to clearance of shipments at BorderPosts / Customs
  • Ensure prompt response tocustomers as and when required.
  • Ensure timelyinvoicing to customers.
  • Ensure that thecustomer is notified, and approvals are taken from them prior tosettling the demurrage/ detentioncharges.
  • Assure on time updates to customers /overseas agents to keep them informed of the status of theirshipments and ensure that all their inquiries are properlyanswered.
  • Ensure that only approved suppliersare to be used to transport the shipment
  • Verifythe customs file and enter the on-customs EDI manifestingsystem.
  • Verify the custom file for completenessand correctness before submission tocustoms.
  • Ensure Payment of all applicablecharges and duties against official receipts and settle the samewith CPV’S
  • Attend custom inspectionand devote individual attention to customer's cargo toensure safe handling and to inform the Supervisor / Sr. Broker ofany storage charges or missing items during visualinspection.
  • All custom clearance documents,Bayan copies and receipts must be returned back to Sr. Broker orthe customs clearance operations team on the same day and nodocuments to be kept or retained for the nextday.
  • On each stage of custom clearanceprocedures update the Sr. Broker / Supervisor or the customsclearance operations team the status of clearance formalities andsteps without delay.
