Job Summary

Downstream Growth and Development (DG&D) implementsthe Companys downstream growth strategy through the development ofprofitable investment opportunities mergers & acquisitions(M&A) and joint venture partnerships in the areas of integratedrefining and petrochemicals marketing retail lubricants and otherareas of the downstream business. DG&D identifies evaluatesscreens reviews and recommends global business developmentopportunities such as mergers and acquisitions and JV developmentprojects in line with the downstream strategy and in coordinationwith other Admin areas within the Downstream business. TheDownstream Business Development Lead will be responsible for: (i)screening and origination of potential investment opportunities inthe areas of refining petrochemicals trading retail businesslogistics storage and lubricants segments; (ii) executing approvedtransactions including initiation and management of due diligencevaluation structuring and negotiations of proposed deals; and (iii)engaging and working constructively with internal corporatestakeholders external advisors and prospective partners during theorigination transaction development and posttransaction setup &readiness phases. The candidate is expected to possess relevanttechnical and commercial experience to successfully executeinvestments with a strong strategic fit with the endorseddownstream growth strategy. The candidate will report to the ThisCompany DG&D Management and Business DevelopmentConsultants/Specialists on the status of individual projects aspart of the organizations project portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Business DevelopmentSpecialist/Consultant in analyzing markets and evaluatingopportunities
  • Manage due diligence riskassessments and negotiation processes
  • Helpprioritize investment proposals and align with corporatestrategies
  • Support downstream activities likepartnership development and risk identification
  • Assist in optimizing business portfolios and negotiatingagreements
  • Guide junior analysts in reviewinglegal documents and agreements
  • Exploreopportunities for product marketing and technologylicensing
  • Participate in financial analysisand valuation of assets
  • Develop negotiationstrategies and project execution plans
  • Utilizemarket data for proactive opportunity identification
  • Prepare presentations and reports for management andboard meetings

Requirements:

  • This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
  • Bachelors degreerequired preferably in Engineering (Chemical) Business Finance orEconomics
  • MBA or relevant advanced degreestrongly preferred
  • Preferred professionalcertifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) CertifiedFinancial Analyst (CFA) Certified Management Accountant(CMA)
  • Minimum 9 years of professionalexperience in downstream business development
  • Strong track record in technical economic and commercialaspects of downstream businesses
  • Experience inrefining petrochemicals marketing (wholesale & retail)lubricant logistics and storage
  • Deepunderstanding of associated operations optimization and valuechainintegration
  • Excellent communication skillsboth verbal and written
  • Demonstrated abilityto navigate complex internal stakeholder groups and negotiate withpartners and service providers
  • Knowledge ofinternational business and crosscultural professionalpractices
  • Experience in executing term sheetsand definitive agreements in downstream transactions
  • Proficiency in managing posttransaction integrationssetup and readiness
