Job brief

Weare looking for a responsible Budget Manager to develop ourcompany’s budget and oversee its implementation. You willalso review budget proposals and prepare financial documents andreports.

Our ideal candidate holds a degree inAccounting or Finance and is familiar with the legal regulations ofaccounting and budgeting. You should combine excellent numeracyskills with the ability to analyze and present complex data. To besuccessful in this role you should be able to use critical thinkingto create financial forecasts and make budgetingdecisions.

Ultimately you should plan evaluatedesign and implement our company’s budget ensuringbusiness growth and compliance with the law.

Responsibilities
  • Designeffective budget models for departments and the entirecompany
  • Analyze financial information (e.g.revenues expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operationsare within budget
  • Present annual budgets tosenior managers
  • Review budget requests forapproval
  • Forecast future budgetneeds
  • Identify variances between actual andbudgeted financial results at the end of each reportingperiod
  • Suggest spending improvements thatincrease profits
  • Review thecompany’s budget for compliance with legalregulations
  • Ensure department managers meetbudget submission deadlines
  • Design andimplement effective budgeting policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Budget Manager or BudgetAnalyst
  • Handson experience with accountingsoftware and statistical packages
  • Knowledge ofMS Excel (specifically advanced formulas pivot tables andcharts)
  • Familiarity with forecasting methodsand data analysis
  • Excellent numeracy skillswith attention to detail
  • Strong analyticalskills
  • Knowledge of accounting best practicesand regulations
  • Ability to explain budgetingand financial information in plain terms
  • BSc/MSc degree in Accounting Finance or relevantfield
