Our client, a well-established global investment management firm, is currently looking to hire a Company Secretary to join their Abu-Dhabi office and become an integral member of their international legal team. The firm invests across multiple jurisdictions through a number of strategies. To date, they have been very successful, and this is expected to continue as they grow from an AUM and headcount perspective.
What the job involves
As the Company Secretary, you will work closely day to day with the firm's General Counsel, providing advice and guidance to the Board of Directors and CEO on governance matters to ensure the firm is compliant with relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
- Provide legal, strategic, and governance advice to senior management and board members.
- Lead strategic negotiations and draft all governance documents.
- Supervise the integrity of the company structure, ensuring all acquisitions are carried out in accordance with procedure.
- Provide Co-sec support for board meetings.
- Regularly review the governance framework.
- Ensure corporate and regulatory compliance for the firm.
Who we are looking for
- Experience of working as a Company Secretary in a similar role within a global investment organization.
- Familiarity with UAE company governing laws.
- Knowledge of up-to-date regulatory and legal laws.
- Knowledge of multiple investment products and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
