Roles and Responsibilities

  6. Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential solar customers ensuring the transfer from Lead to Contract.
  7. Develop content for sales presentations or other materials, develop proposals for current or prospective customers, prepare sales or other contracts.
  8. Select solar energy products, systems, or services for customers based on electrical energy requirements, site conditions, price, or other factors.
  9. Customize energy products or services to meet customer needs.
  10. Provide customers with information such as quotes, orders, sales, shipping, warranties, credit, funding options, incentives, or tax rebates.
  11. Explain technical product or service information to customers, explain financial information to customers.
  12. Gather information from prospective customers to identify their solar energy needs.
  13. Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs.
  14. Calculate basic potential solar resources for a particular site considering issues such as climate, shading, and roof orientation.
  15. Assess sites to determine suitability for solar equipment, using equipment such as tape measures, compasses, and computer software.
  16. Act as a team player as per processes set up between customer and internal engineering team with a strong commitment to time. (No Over-Promise/Under-Deliver).
  17. Support marketing or strategic plans for sales territories.
  18. Represent the company in solar exhibitions, events, and/or conferences whenever required.

Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed institution.
  2. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in sales of Solar PV rooftop systems & solutions.
  3. Relevant certification in Solar Energy would be an added advantage (e.g. from DEWA etc.).

Experience

  1. Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a similar industry.
  2. Proven experience in business development in the field of solar performance contracting in UAE.
  3. Familiar with utility requirements for grid connected, off-grid & hybrid solar systems.
  4. Results-driven with an evident passion for renewable energy sales.

Knowledge & Skills

  1. Technical knowledge of Solar systems. Knowledge in other renewable energy sectors is desirable.
  2. Good interpersonal skills.
  3. Good communication skills to deal effectively with clients, suppliers, vendors, and site staff.
  4. Good presentation and persuasion skills.
  5. Good business acumen.
