Commissioning Lead - Sulphur Join to apply for the Commissioning Lead - Sulphur role at KBR, Inc. This position focuses on leading the commissioning of Sulphur recovery and sour gas projects in Abu Dhabi as part of a large EPC program. The role is based onshore with extensive cross‑functional collaboration with EPC contractors, sub‑contractors and vendor partners. Responsibilities Provide guidance to the commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub‑contractors within SRU and Sweetening units. Coordinate with licensors and vendors to ensure close monitoring of commissioning activities. Lead progress of Sulphur commissioning activities and review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures. Provide advice and support to the Senior Commissioning Manager as required. Review commissioning manuals issued by the EPC contractor. Verify mechanical completion certificate requirements for various systems and subsystems. Participate in commissioning meetings and other related meetings. Participate in troubleshooting discussions to resolve commissioning obstacles. Verify readiness of systems/subsystems for mechanical completion (MC) and recovery and flash units (RFSU) certificate issuance. Monitor and approve the close‑out of punch lists in the area. Ensure completion and handover methodology is proceeding in compliance with related contractual documents. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mandatory). Minimum twenty (20) years of relevant experience in commissioning/operation readiness with preference for GCC region. At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects with preference for commissioning sour gas and Sulphur recovery projects.
