  • knowledge of investigativetechniques

What is thework?

Loss Prevention / Security:

  • Detects / resolves external theft byidentifying, investigating, resolving theftincidents
  • Recovers assets; makes safeapprehensions
  • Educates store Partners andmanagement on Loss Prevention-related matters to improve theftawareness and maintain a safe storeenvironment
  • Conducts inspections of physicalsecurity standards

Interviewing /Investigating:

  • Learnsadvanced interviewing techniques
  • Conductssurveillance, detains, interviews persons apprehended inshoplifting incidents

Reporting &Documentation:

  • Writes /documents case reports for theft incidents; writes weekly activityreports

What is yourbackground?

  • High schooldiploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years of experiencein investigative auditing and / or retail LossPrevention
  • Experience in / working knowledge ofinvestigative techniques

Do you have what it takes to be afit as an H-E-B Loss Prevention Specialist?

  • General knowledge of videosystems
  • Moderate PC skills including MS Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and computer softwareprograms / applications required by thejob
  • Good interviewingskills
  • Excellent written / verbal communicationskills; bilingual language skills aplus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities andshift focus between tasks; attention todetail
  • Ability to work with highly confidentialinformation
  • Ability to confront individuals ina calm and diplomatic manner
  • Ability to work ina team environment

  • Function in afast-paced, retail, office environment
  • Travelby car or airplane with overnight stays
  • Lift upto 20 lbs on a regular basis
  • Work extendedhours and rotating schedules
  • Access and movearound all areas of the store quickly
  • Maketheft apprehensions
  • Conduct visual surveillanceof the store
  • Have a reliable source oftransportation (required)
  • Obtain / maintain avalid driver's license(required)
