Customer Service:

• Provides superior customerservice
• Takes orders from customers bytelephone or in person
• Answers customerquestions regarding products and assists them withselections
  

FoodService:

• Prepares,packages, and merchandises freshproduct
• Slices, packages, labels, and rotatesproducts
• Scans in items on Telxon forproduction
• Assists in technical areas asneeded
  

Sales:

• Merchandises producteffectively
• Uses suggestive selling techniquesto meet customer needs and build departmentsales
• Makes regular announcements related tofreshly-produced items, and to increase sales
  

Food Safety / Sanitation:

• Cleans and sanitizes display cases;properly operates / maintainsequipment
• Complies with H-E-B food safety andsanitation standards
• Complies with departmentalSOPs and store operating procedures
  

Additional Department-SpecificResponsibilities:

• Aguas:
  

Peels, cuts, and chops fresh fruitsand vegetables

Prepares fresh specialty drinksand food products specific to the Aguas department

• Floral:
  

Designs floral arrangements;provides a variety of fresh, qualityproducts

Designs and executes merchandisingprograms

Tracks seasonal record whenappropriate

• Market:
  

Cuts, trims, and prepares meat forservice meat counter and self-servicecounter

Ensures proper product rotation andstorage

Maintains coolers andfreezers

Weighs, prices, and packagesselections

Operates power meat prep andprocess equipment

• Produce:
  

Stocks and rotates product to ensurefreshness

Assists floral department whenneeded

Communicates product knowledge tocustomers by explaining and providingsamples

Cuts, wraps, and prices produce to beplaced on sales floor

Maintains signingprogram

• Seafood:
  

Knowledgeable about various fish andshellfish

Weighs, prices, and packagesselections

What is your background?
