CAD Technician

Abu Dhabi

Parsons is lookingfor an amazingly talented CAD Technician to joinour team

What YoullBe Doing:

  • Utilizesa CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting ofstandard arrangements layouts flow sheets assemblies isometricsetc. from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and designinformation according to established standards and procedures.

  • Works closely with otherDesigner/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.

  • Applies standard designprinciples and theories to complete assignments.

  • Utilizes technical manualsto ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standardsand codes such as ANSI PFI and ASME.

  • Ensures compliance withrequired design safety factors tolerances and specifications.

  • Compiles data and performsdimensional and routine calculations required for the preparationof drawings.

  • Reads andunderstands orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs andsupplier/manufacturer drawings.

  • Makes required changesadditions and/or revisions as directed by immediate supervisor.

  • May assist in traininglower level Designer/Drafters in various procedures.

  • Checks drawings prepared bylower level Designer/Drafters for accuracy and adequacy.

  • Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.

WhatRequired Skills Youll Bring:

  • Diploma or Degreein related field or equivalent technical degree from an accreditedUniversity/ institution is required.

  • M ust have an equivalencycertificate clearly mentioning either Diploma or Degree fromMinistry of Education in UAE.

  • Minimum 7 years of UAE CADdrafting experience related to Structural projects (Bridges& underpasses) for projects in UAE.

  • Strong experience usingAutoCAD/GIS.

  • Ability to readand translate blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills in English.
