We are looking to hire an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant who has a broad understanding of maintaining the fixed asset register and expertise in reconciliation for our client, a semi-governmental organization in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and Excel skills, as well as hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion and Oracle R12 ERP systems. This position is a contract role for 6 months. We are seeking a passionate Fixed Asset Accountant to ensure that financial transactions are accurate capitalization and depreciation, as well as preparing comprehensive schedules related to fixed assets. Key responsibilities: Perform analysis and reconciliation of account balances in both balance sheet and P&L. Calculate and post depreciation and amortization entries monthly. Maintain and update the fixed assets register in Oracle Fusion or R12 ensuring accuracy and completeness. Supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to fixed assets. Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions. Monitor and review capital work‑in‑progress (CWIP) and Cost Clearing accounts to ensure proper classification and capitalization. Reconcile fixed assets and sub‑ledger with the General ledger regularly. Ensure Fixed Asset Accounting follows IFRS/GAAP and accounting policies. Follows up all transactions continuously and provide updates to the management. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with focus on reconciliations. Should have experience in Fixed Assets. Experience in using Oracle Fusion or R12. Proficiency in MS Office. Should have experience in MS Dynamics or similar large enterprise applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills.
