JobSummary

Responsible forcontacting customers for the purpose of collecting outstandingaccounts receivables on orders. Resolve customer billing problemsand reduce accounts receivabledelinquency.

MajorTasks, Responsibilities, And KeyAccountabilities

  • Communicates with customer todetermine reason for overdue payment and review terms of sale,service, or credit contract.
  • Receives paymentsand posts amount paid to customeraccount.
  • Documents information about financialstatus of customer and status of collectionefforts.
  • Reviews and monitors assigned accountsand all applicable collection reports. to maintain up-to-datecustomer records.
  • Maintains clear documentationof customer contact through the collection or dispute process.Ensures timely follow-up of open disputes is completed inaccordance with service levelagreements.
  • Resolves internal and externalcustomer non-payment issues, invoice discrepancies, and customerpayments outside of approved terms.

Nature andScope

  • Refers complex, unusual problems tosupervisor.
  • Under general supervision,exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies,procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular reviewof output by a senior coworker orsupervisor.
  • None.

WorkEnvironment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and notobjectionable.
  • Most of the time is spentsitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunityto move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move orlift light articles.
  • No travelrequired.

Education AndExperience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.Specialized skills training/certification may be required.Generally 2-5 years of experience in area ofresponsibility.
