Plumbing Draftmen

JOB TITLE: PLUMBINGDRAFTSMAN

We are seeking atalented Plumbing Draftsman to join our MEP contracting team. Theideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design andimplementation of plumbing and firefighting systems for a varietyof projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity tocontribute to the success of highprofile construction venturesacross various sectors.

ROLE& RESPONSIBILTIES:

1.Develop detailed plumbing and firefighting drawings layouts andschematics based on project requirements codes andstandards.

2. Utilize AutoCAD Revit and otherdrafting software to create accurate 2D and 3D models of plumbingsystems.

3. Collaborate with engineersarchitects and other stakeholders to ensure the integration ofplumbing designs with overall MEP systems.

4.Generate shop drawings bill of quantities (BOQ) and materialtakeoffs for procurement and construction purposes.

5. Conduct site visits to gather necessary information andverify compliance with design specifications during theconstruction phase.

6. Review and interpretarchitectural structural and MEP drawings to identify coordinationissues and propose solutions.

7. Coordinate withproject managers and site engineers to ensure timely delivery ofdrawings and adherence to project schedules.

8.Stay updated on industry trends codes and regulations related toplumbing and firefighting systems.

9. Assist invalue engineering initiatives to optimize plumbing designs forcosteffectiveness and efficiency.

10. Providetechnical support and assistance to junior draftsmen asneeded.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineeringor related field.

2. Minimum 3 year experienceas a Plumbing Draftsman in MEP contracting or constructionindustry.

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit andother drafting software.

4. Strong knowledge ofplumbing and firefighting codes standards and practices.

5. Excellent communication and collaborationskills.

6. Ability to work independently and aspart of a multidisciplinary team.

7. Attentionto detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.

8. Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) ispreferred.

9. Willingness to travel to projectsites as required.
