Joining a growing team the AccountManager will focus on the management and growth of Dow Jones Risk& Compliance client portfolio in the Middle East. These areclients that are relying on our services for their antimoneylaundering counter terrorist financing and thirdparty riskmanagement programmes. The Account Manager will initiate salesactivity with new buying centres and new prospects across theregion. Client relationships are built and maintained by telephoneemail and inperson meetings. An ability to develop strong businessrelationships in a phonebased and in personbased environment iscrucial to the success of this role. The Account Manager isaccountable for developing and implementing sales strategies andbest practices to achieve revenue targets. Given the focus on risk& compliance the Account Manager will require knowledge ofcompliance regulation across the region and familiarity withR&C solutions available on themarket.

Position SummaryStatement:

The prime focus of this roleis to grow the Risk & Compliance business in the MiddleEast. Based in the UAE the Account Manager retains the existingportfolio of clients and for managing the complete solutions salescycle for Dow Jones Risk and Compliance suite or products andservices. You will build new business revenue through anycombination of the followingactivities:

  • MEET NEW BUSINESS TARGETS:Grow revenue for the R&C business across the region throughnew clients and by crossselling/upselling existingones.
  • RETENTION: Retain Dow Jones contractrevenue in the assigned set of customers and ensure the Dow JonesR&C products and services address customersneeds
  • RELATIONSHIPS: Build relationships withSenior Level customer contacts to retain the business and look forexpansion opportunities within the R&Csolutions.
  • ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT: Responsible forall areas of account management including the development of goodaccount understanding understanding clients businesses andresolving issues promptly; understand competitor solutions theclient is using and our customers current and developingneeds
  • SALES REPORTING: Manage pipeline andforecast processes to portray the number of sales opportunities thepercentage of opportunities to close the realistic timeframe andthe potential revenue. Maintain accurate and appropriate clientrecords within the global CRM system to provide managementinformation.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Organise andcoordinate the efforts of other teams necessary to achieve salesgoals. These can include colleagues from Product Marketing CustomerService and Editorial.
  • TEAMWORK: Work onproposals RFPs tenders and retention projects with the extendedteamavailable.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Identifyqualify develop and close new business for the entire Risk& Compliance product portfolio to achieve individual NewBusiness Revenue goals.
  • Manage existingportfolio of R&C clients to ensure retention and increasecontract value.
  • Work with senior management andmarketing to ensure that events PR branding and communicationsupports sales goals and executionplans.
  • Identify and analyse underlying customerbusiness and sales issues to match the appropriate Risk &Compliance solution/technology to the customers requirements. Asolution sales approach is aprerequisite.
  • Maintain relationship withexternal facilitators such as technology companies providingadvisory services to the market
  • Contributeexpertise around the strategic direction of the Risk &Compliance business on subjects such as brand positioning valueproposition and productroadmap.

Knowledge Skillsand ExperienceRequired:

  • Fluency inEnglish. Arabic an advantage. Degree leveleducation.
  • 3 years of experience sellinginformation and compliance tools to senior business decisionmakers.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulationacross the region and familiarity with R&C solutionsavailable on the market.
  • Ability to drive newbusiness opportunities within new prospects within the R&Cmarket and ability to upsell to existing Dow Jones R&Ccustomers.
  • Ability to utilise influencingstrategies to gain agreement or commitment to proposed R&Csolutions to help grow the sales process to the nextlevel.
  • Ability to speak about customers issuesto demonstrate/convey an understanding ofit.
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness whenworking with people of diverse cultures orbackgrounds.
  • Ability to effectively handlemultiple activities and reprioritise to ensure revenue goals areachieved.
  • This role requires extensive overseastravel to develop sales opportunities and support existingclients
