Human Resources Manager /Cluster

A Manager/Cluster of HumanResources you will manage Human Resources related activitiesincluding recruitment performance management succession planningtalent management compensation & benefits employeerelations initiatives learning & development.

Also manage all related matters to employeebenefits including; employees accommodation meals transportation aswell as labor contracted services agreements (outsourced labor) andlegal aspects related to employees/employment (i. e. work permitsresidences indemnity etc.).

What will Ibe doing

As a Manager/Cluster HumanResources you will be responsible in the preopening phase tofamiliarize yourself and follow the brand (s) standards preopeningbudget timeline and Roadmap to opening theHotels.

You will ensure to be aware and fullyupdated with all related information strategy of the hotel(s) aswell as your department related to positioning & successfulopening of the hotel(s). In your capacity you will be responsiblefor the effective management and performance of all Human Resourcesrelated activities. This includes talent management successionplanning learning & development and training performancemanagement compensation & benefits employee h and safetyaspects.

Specifically a Manager/Cluster HumanResources will perform the following tasks to the higheststandards:

  • Plan and forecast theshort and longterm talent requirements for the hotel to support itsbusiness plans as well the companysplans.
  • Maintain a best practice recruitmentapproach including the Companys vacancy management system toattract the best applicants within the approved manningguide/budget.
  • Ensure Turnover is kept low/belowtarget given by the regional specialists in order to reducerecruitment & payroll costs.
  • Build astrong career and succession planning system to retain and developtalent
  • Implement training and developmentstrategies to improve performance customer service QualityAssurance requirements problem resolutions & guestsatisfaction surveys (for hotel employees and/or outsourcesstaff).
  • Oversee the hotels human resourcesdatabase and payroll system
  • Provide a frameworkfor counseling coaching and welfareservices.
  • Manage the Team Members OpinionSurveys and champions the HR calendar of Team Member social eventsand ensure implementation.
  • Ensure HR teamprovides monthend & periodical reports are completed ontime for GM and/ or regional office.
  • PrepareManning/Payroll projections forecasts and budgets throughout theyear and advise GM and/ or regional office of any major issues thatwould impact the operation.
  • Manage / resolvepromptly and completely all employee relations issues ordisputes.
  • Ensure a cultural compliancenonfavoritism & business ethics is promoted &implemented within the hotel.
  • Supporting hotelleaders and the General Manager in cases of discipline or grievanceoffering fair lawful and commercially realistic advice on alloccasions.
  • Maintain an awareness of competitorhuman resources activities and bestpractices.
  • Maintain always excellent knowledgeof local laws &procedures.

  • HotelOpening or Preopening experience is anadvantage
  • UAE experience and/or GCC experienceis required
  • Tertiary qualifications or othercollegiatelevel degree in HumanResources.
  • Previous experience with minimum of7 years supervisory experience 3 years of which must be in thecapacity of HR Manager/Cluster/Director in a multinational companywithin the hotel resort leisure and/or retail sector (responsiblefor at least 200 employees).
  • Fluent Englishlanguage skills.
  • Arabic language would be aplus.
  • Excellent leadership skills andexceptional communication skills
  • Strongcommercial/business acumen

  • Ability to build high performing teamwithin the organization
