Analyst CFIB Job Description

Role : Analyst Corporate Finance and InvestmentBanking
Location : Dubai

Role Purpose:

This is a key role within the Corporate Finance andInvestment Banking (CFIB) team focused on originating structuringand executing corporate finance transactions with WBG and FIclients of the bank. The role holder will focus on deliveringsharia compliant financing solutions to ADIBs clients across itscore markets and will have to work closely with coverage teamsother CFIB teams as well as internal stakeholders (such as creditapprovers) to support origination of financing transactionsdevelopment of strategic relationships and provide solutions inalignment with ADIB risk appetite and strategy.

Key Accountabilities of the role
  • Build review assess and explaincomplex financial models.
  • Develop financialforecasts to estimate cash flows credit metrics and valuationsusing financial economic and operating data from multiple sources.
  • Employ different methodologies to providecontext and benchmark financial forecasts and model outputincluding DCF transaction multiples peer comparison etc.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis.
  • Prepare pitch books and transaction materialssuch as teasers information memorandum management presentationscredit analysis.
  • Evaluate issuer / obligorfinancial performance capital structure credit metrics andcritically assess transaction parameters to support term sheetnegotiation pricing credit analysis and syndication.
  • Demonstrate sound business analysis skills to assess andarticulate business fundamentals industry positioning businesscycle and growth prospects.
  • Identify andaddress key risks during due diligence transaction structuringcredit approval and documentation stages.
  • Demonstrate sound understanding of market and businesstrends and material risk factors that impact credit quality andbusiness / financial conditions; track and communicate relevantmarket and economic developments
  • Assist seniorteam members with project management coordinate with internal andexternal stakeholders and provide engagement through thetransaction life cycle.
  • Demonstrate theability to integrate capabilities / expertise to manage dealdynamics and meet client requirements.
  • Beable to work independently adopt a proactive approach and takeownership for their area of responsibility and in support of theteams core mandate.
  • Ensure regularcommunication with key stakeholders to position the structured andsyndicated finance business and ensure emerging issues areaddressed proactively

Business Momentum
  • Review and update the deals in pipeline reports on aregular basis to support business management
  • Keep CFIB Head updated of major developments in relationto transactions under execution

R isk Audit andCompliance
  • Review /ensure all audit files are maintained and achieve satisfactoryaudit reviews
  • Ensure compliance withapplicable Sharia requirements relevant Central Bank and otherapplicable regulations and ADIBs internal risk and compliancepolicies; achieve successful Shariah and internal audit outcomeswith no high risk or repeat findings
  • Managedeal folders support internal reporting and portfolio monitoringrequirements on a timely basis.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for thisrole:
  • Strong analyticaland financial modeling capabilities. Advanced technical proficiencywith spreadsheets and presentations business intelligence and dataanalytics
  • The time sensitive nature of thedeal life cycle and the highly competitive nature of the businessrequires the candidate to be able and willing to work longer hoursbeyond the official working hours in order to ensure clientsatisfaction.
  • Effective communicator with theability to present complex issues to a senior audience internallyand externally
  • Ability to work under pressurestay calm manage conflicts and adjust quickly to changingpriorities
  • Attention to detail and quality ofthe final output
  • Assume ownership forpersonal development and act as a brand ambassador forADIB
  • Demonstrate personal accountability teamspirit and ensure alignment with priorities of the team and thebusiness
