  • Regularly providesoperational information to Engineers Third Party Airlinecustomers/Technical representatives Technicians/Mechanics regardingaircraft status and ground equipment through the use of emailslandline phones or mobile phones.

  • Responsible fornotifying internal and external third parties in respect to anyoperational requirements such as preparation for aircraft weighingtowins and towouts water/waste servicing fuelling/defuelling.

  • Responsible forpreparation of daily aircraft allocation sheets both EK and thirdparty aircraft on which Base maintenance operations are basedhighlighting specialist technical support requirements. Arrangesfor any additional requirements such as overtime outside normaloffice hours. Arranges and facilitates team deployment for any AOG(Aircraft on Ground) aircraft event.

  • Provideslogistic support through the control/distribution of ramp vehicleslaptops and mobile phones to the Licenced Aircraft Engineers(LAEs). Has to frequently liaise with DNATA/Facilities/GSE forground equipment supplies. Ensures that the planned maintenance forany vehicles is maintained.

  • Responsible forthe updates and fault reporting of all IT equipment or items suchas cameras and mobile phones.

  • Coordinates anyLost and Found items with the EK Terminal team.
  • Base Heavy Maintenance
  • Maintain departmentalrecords including rosters leave sick leave training overtimeinduction allocation of lockers attendance and daily allocation ofhangars for staff of all trades in BHM including certifying staff.Updates ETHOS / SPX system. In addition produce and provide reports(i.e. leave) to the Manager Base Heavy Maintenance management asrequested for.

Support theprocessing and record keeping of all GCAA and Compliance Monitoringapplications and documents. Keep records of Licensed AircraftEngineer approvals up to date in the system. Support action andfollow up on all electronic records including IT Service requests(ITSR) Request For Purchase (RFP) and purchase requests. Supportthe P2P process where delegated by BHM management.

  • Maintain the database onthe departments assets and inventory ensuring that the same is keptcurrent with additions writeoffs transfer of equipment between costcentres/ location promptly fedin. Conduct an asset verificationexercise biannually and draw attention to Admin Officer on anyareas of concerns to ensure our asset inventory is accurate.

  • Coordinate withEngineering Projects administrative and logistical tasks in orderto support the Aircraft Acceptance Plan Projects supported by BHMand Duty Travel needs for BHM staff.
  • Base Operations
  • Support programmes suchas the Residual Disinsection programme on the EK passenger fleetincluding the ontime notification to the Australian and New Zealandauthorities by monitoring of tooling and consumables and ensuringdeployment of the 3rd party pest control provider/ Mini Deep Cleanson Base Ops aircraft / Dry washing on EK aircraft / AircraftRecovery Team deployment / delivered engine loading and offloading.

  • Responsible forplanning and monitoring activities related to Base Ops ownedaircraft such as arrivals weighing preparation preservice checksfreighter main deck palletised stand loading/offloading offloadingof flight catering HOLD item/component processing dnata aircraftappearance/technical cleaning hangar preparation tool equipment andlogistics management liaising with Fleet Team Management and MCCregarding NTC (Notice to Crew) validity/Engineering WorkInstructions (EWI)/Maintenance Control Requests (MCRs)/MediaLoads/Engine Borescope reports.
  • Line Maintenance: Frontoffice
  • Regularlycoordinates with Third Party Airlines/Operators with regard tostandard maintenance support as well as special requirements forAOG or delay situations as well as unscheduled events i.e. fuelspills etc.

  • Control andadminister Medical Transportation (MEDIF) process for EK flights.

  • Support theduty officer for adhoc duty travel / flying dutyrequirements.

  • LineMaintenance: Troubleshooting Cell
  • Publish daily operationalreports reports for senior management review including but notlimited to CAT A DD list repeat defects Repeat MELs A380 CLASS 4defects B777 fuel tank units A380 OHDS defect report HYD upliftsetc.

  • Manage theSCS system across the A380 fleet and plan for the spares andrectification of defects. Liaise with vendors to find the bestsolution to recurring defects.

  • Coordinate withmaterial support for spares requirement for the MCRs across bothfleets.

  • Managethe TSC roster to ensure that adequate cover is available for theTSC Cell.
  • MaintenanceControl Centre (MCC)
Monitor Techlog debrief messages and update Minimum Equipment List DeferredDefects (MEL DD) status continuously in Engineering IntegratedReporting & Info System (EIRIS) on 24 hour basis. Monitorall Delay reports & ESRs received from outstations processand distribute accordingly.

  • Ensure all documents andreport are kept ready for Maintenance Control Duty Manager (MCDM)perusal in a timely manner. Update Daily Delay/ Deferred Defect(DD) graph as appropriate.

  • Incorporaterevisions to engineering technical documentation in ComplianceMonitoring (CM) controlled manuals.

  • Maintain andupdate laptops/ Aircraft On Ground (AOG) bags and various MCCdocuments /files like outstation rosters/contact details. Providelogistical support (office administration filing systems archivingdata etc.)

  • Support any AOGsituation by liaising and coordinating with the concerned internaland external stakeholders to arrange deployment of the Rapidresponse Unit (RRU) team as efficiently and quickly aspossible.

Qualifications& Experience: Engineering.Other :

12Years schooling or equivalent :

Experience 4yrs in Engineering Compliance Monitoring

Knowledge/skills:

  • Should be proficient on MS packagesand company systems (TER/ROS) & Resource ManagementSystems.
  • Thorough knowledge of BaseMaintenance activities. Must have the ability to quickly grasp theimpact of every situation and take very quickaction.
