In This Role, YouWill:

  • Collaborate with the Team'sDirector of Events to execute a strategic corporate eventstrategy
  • Manage the North America Event Designteam based in the HQ (Tyson's office) responsible forproducing 500+ events annually. Oversee team bandwidth, resourceallocation, KPIs, and career-pathing &development
  • End-to-End planning and executionof events of varying size, scope & scale. Including but notlimited to: Curating event design experiences that support theevent objective, configuring event registration & othertechnical requirements, and executing event marketingdeliverables
  • Work directly with seniormanagement to collaborate on HQ and company-wideinitiatives
  • Coordinate with teams acrossregions and product-focused marketing organisation to ensure timelydelivery of reports, management updates, and data dissemination tointernal teams
  • Assist in event projections andevent road mapping, understanding audience generation eventobjectives, goals, budget targets, and analyzing cost andROI
  • Collaborate and report on large-scalestrategic projects and timelines related to major companyinitiatives, events, and goals
  • Source,negotiate, evaluate, and execute various venue & vendoragreements. Ability to achieve noticeable vendor savings withinstrict budgetary parameters, tracking financialbenefits
  • Maintain strong relationships withexternal vendors and identify appropriate new businessrelationships, championing the most productive partnerships for thecompany

Here's What YouNeed:

  • Minimum of 10 years of eventplanning, marketing, and people managementexperience
  • Bachelor's degreerequired
  • Must be located near Tyson'sCorner, Virginia or have the ability to commute to the office 2+days a week and on days with live events or in-office prep forupcoming events
  • Experience managing large andcomplex contracts, budgets, and financialanalysis
  • Ability to analyze situations,identify and troubleshoot problems, and follow up until aresolution is achieved
  • Strong projectmanagement and communication skills, ability to excel in a fluid,cross-functional team, deadline-drivenenvironment
  • Ability to operate and providevalue at both a macro/strategy level and a micro/executionlevel
  • Strong time management skills and abilityto manage multiple time-sensitive, high-priority projectssimultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and bidcomparison experience with vendors
  • Knowledge ofthe total marketing/sales mix, including campaign execution,program management, event marketing, logistics management, andevent technology, etc.
  • Experience with managinga cross-functional team & working with internationalresources
  • Strong executive presence and abilityto interact with all levels of management within the company andexperience working directly with C-Level/seniorleadership
  • Self-directed, self-motivation, anddisciplined team player capable of hands-on execution and long-termbusiness planning
  • Quick learner andenthusiastic about ongoing development to better support the team& growing event program
  • Strongknowledge of the MS Office suite, with expertise inExcel
  • Strong knowledge & experiencewith using Event Marketing & Management solutions(Cvent)
  • Knowledge & experience withthese types of tools & technologies – CRM(Salesforce), Marketing Automation (Marketo), Project Management(Wrike/Clarizen/Jira), Travel & Expense Management(Concur), and other marketing technologies is aplus
