Weare seeking an EAP Counselor to join our Canada clinical Theclinical team plays a major role in the face (the heart) of ourTeam members engage with participants over the phone, video, chat& email all while demonstrating what we call: The Power ofa Good Conversation creating a connection with the client to ensurethey feel heard, supported, and cared Our EAP counselors engage inSingle Session Therapy with participants and provide warmth andempathy while having an engaging conversation to help determine thebest course of action for those reaching out to


Its difficult to describe an average day for our counselors, as eachcaller presents with a unique set of challenges, and it would befrom your clinical conversation that would help each personnavigate a way The majority of the day is spent, providingin-the-moment support, assessing for suitability of short-termcounselling, engaging in crisis management, and always workingcollaboratively with the caller on what will be the best treatmentplan going As part of WPO s commitment to a holistic approach tocare, you will regularly connect clients to external resources orwithin You will definitely never be bored working in WPO sfast-paced


Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • ProvidingSingle SessionTherapy
  • Assessingclients for suitability for short-termcounseling
  • Collaborativelydeveloping clear and concise treatment plans forclients
  • Providingclear clinical documentation in our case managementsystem
  • Adheringto the ethical and legal standards which govern service delivery,as well as policies and procedures, which apply to the organizationand country, as
  • Assessingand managing high risk calls and working closely with individualsat


Tobe successful in this role, you need to possess a genuine curiosityin people from all ages, cultures, and backgrounds with theclinical skills to engage and listen while providing clinicalinterventions such as CBT, solution-focused and MotivationalInterviewing Given the range of populations we support, you need tobe comfortable working with individuals presenting with high-riskbehavior, complex mental health issues and situation of We providesupport 24/7 and thus, our team works in the morning, afternoon,evening and overnight, however, shifts are alwaysconsistent

Requirements

Professionalqualification required asfollows:

  • Socialworker, Counselor or Psychologist with accompanying Master sdegree
  • Fluentin English andFrench
  • MUSTlive in Ontario, Quebec, or BritishColumbia
  • Licensureor clinical certificationpreferred
  • Minimum2 years direct client-contact providing counseling or mental healthservices(post-qualification)
  • Experienceproviding assessments and/or using clinical assessmenttools
  • Trainingin crisis support, CBT, solution-focused therapy, ormindfulness-based techniques are anasset
  • Scheduledhours: Wednesday to Saturday OVERNIGHT 8:00pm-6:30amEST
