  • Performingany necessary closingactivities
  • Arrangeand track daily truck rail and ocean shipments between producersstoragefacilities.
  • Plan andexecute logistics solutions which meet the highest level ofefficiency cost effectiveness and optimal customer serviceincluding storage and freight ratenegotiations.
  • Maintaindaily/weekly/monthly inventory of existing ocean/rail/truckshipments and openly communicate to the desk and customersregularly via email andphone
  • Approvecosts and invoices associated with the execution of contracts;calculate expense accruals and physical execution of metalmovements as they relate to Company's businesses and updatethese in thesystem.
  • Developand maintain relationships with service suppliers producers andcustomers in a manner which creates operational synergies acrossthe supply chain. Ensure logistics capacity availability issufficient to meet contractual obligations regardless of seasonalfactors.
  • Maintaininternal records including inventory and in transit reporting alongwith title transfer documents. Periodic reconciliation of inventoryrecords for reporting to traders credit and treasury as well asvarious external interestedparties.
  • Manageaccounts receivable and accounts payable in a timelymanner.
  • Maintainand distribute storage and freight cost database in order tofacilitate timely and accurate tradingdecisions.
  • Responsiblefor timely releases invoicing and other document execution tocounterparties as well as subsequent coordination of payments withthe treasurydepartment.
  • Liaisewith other departments including trading treasury risk creditaccounting andIT.
  • Specialprojects and additional responsibilities/administrative functionsasassigned.

Requirements:Qualification and Skill

  • 3 yearstraffic/logistics experience preferably in metals /commodities.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite software applications with advanced Exceland Wordcapabilities
  • KnowledgeofIncoterms
  • Internalbanking operations such as documentary collection letter of creditetc
  • Experience/knowledgeof commodities exchange such as LME/ICE/CME would be an addedadvantage.
