JobPurpose

Supervise theoptimization and formulation drilling and completion fluids as perthe prescribed well program for each well. Contribute toimprovements in overall well quality and cost optimization. Planfluid requirements, build and maintain the relevant inventories andpublish the associatedreport.

Job SpecificAccountabilities (Part 1)

  • Sample and analyze drilling mud atregular intervals as well as whenever required in order to ensuresmooth and efficient drillingoperations.
  • Calculate and report the daily lowgravity solids percentages. Test Oil Based Mud (OBM) upon receivingand sending to mud plant.
  • Plan mud and chemicalrequirements based on drilling operationalrequirements.
  • Ensure the mud testing equipmentare available on location, well maintained andcalibrated.
  • Report the daily and cumulative mudutilization and cost, estimation of mud lost, and addition offluids;
  • Recommend on the proper use of solidscontrol equipment.
  • Maintain an inventory ofmaterial and equipment related to own area of operation. Advisesand supervises rig-crew duringtransfers.
  • Submit end of the section / wellrecap, including "Incident Report" wheneverapplicable, with observations andrecommendations.
  • Participate in the productselection of chemicals and fluids to ensurefitness-for-purpose.
  • Ensure the quality andquantity of fluids delivered to drilling and work over sites as perset guidelines.
  • Ensure the appropriateness ofrecycling, treatment and disposal of drilling fluids byproducts andwastes as per ADNOC waste managementguidelines.

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate allactivities in the assigned area to meet functionalobjectives.
  • Train and develop the assignedstaff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on thejob and deliver the respective sectionobjectives.

  • Provide input for preparation of theDepartment / Section budgets and assist in the implementation ofthe approved Budget and work plans to deliver Sectionobjectives.
  • Investigate and highlight anysignificant variances to support effective performance and costcontrol.

  • Implement approved Department /Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures inorder to support execution of the Section's work programsin line with Company and Internationalstandards.
  • Comply with all applicablelegislation and legal regulations.

PerformanceManagement

  • Contribute to the achievement of theapproved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section inline with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation andContinuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools andtechniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operationalprocesses.
  • Identify improvements in internalprocesses against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiencyin line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutionsfor issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety,Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies,procedures & controls and applicable legislation andsustainability guidelines in line with international standards,best practices and ADNOC Code ofPractices.
  • Participate in Emergency Responseduties as a team member.

  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MISand progress reports for Company Management.
