Roles and responsibilities
  • Prepare various projectlayouts with the help of multiple layout tools and developmanufacturing drawings.
  • Prepare BOM, BOQ, andRFQ for procurement of mechanical equipment in coordination withsuppliers.
  • Prepare and submit designdocumentation (like O&M manuals, material submissions,functional descriptions, etc.) for customerapproval.
  • Address client comments with respectto contract requirements and supplierspecifications.
  • Coordinate building interfaces(space requirements, architectural collisions, accessibility,safety, etc.).
  • Check building drawings (likeMEP, FLS, Architecture, Structure, etc.) with Layout and generateclash reports/drawings.
  • Create installationdrawings with sections and other documentation and handle sitetechnical queries.
  • Support installation andcommissioning teams on-site whenneeded.
  • Generate as-builtdocumentation.
  • Work closely and coordinateacross various departments like Structural, Electrical, PLCCommissioning and Software, Site Installation, Procurement, andLogistics teams.
  • Manage and ensure that allproject quality procedures applicable to design are beingfollowed.
  • Responsible for followingoccupational health, safety, security, environment and quality asstipulated in the Project HSSE Plan and Project Quality Plan,respectively.

What do I need toqualify for the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree ordiploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 4years of professional experience in Mechanical Design and Layout inthe logistics automation domain, specifically in Baggage Handlingor Cargo Handling Systems.
  • Hand-on experiencewith AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Revit, Microsoft Excel, MicrosoftWord, and PowerPoint. Other software experience (like Inventor andNavisworks) will be an addedadvantage.
  • Knowledge of the SAP System andcreating new material numbers is a plus.
  • Stronglanguage skills in English, both verbal andwritten.
  • Willing to travel locally orinternationally.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanicalequipment safety standards (i.e., Machine Directive, EUNorms).
  • Experience in structural calculation isa plus.
  • Teamwork spirit, leadership skills,organizational capacity, and eagerness toimprove.
