Minimum Qualifications:A Bachelor degree in Education or Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Teaching experience in English National Curriculum.

- Strategic development of Science across the Lower School.
- Lead a Curriculum Action Group to raise the profile of Science and ensure it is high quality across the school.
- To write and develop the School Evaluation Form linked to Science for the appropriate Phases of the school.
- To be responsible for Lower School specific Science data and its analysis, identifying next steps from this.
- To develop, implement and actively monitor the Science Action Plan for the Lower School and ensure its continued success in meeting set targets.
- To actively contribute to the schools International Benchmarking Strategy and implement any required actions within Science.
- Effectively collaborate with the Head of Science in the Middle & Senior School to ensure there is consistency and progressions throughout the phase.
- Lead training and professional development for staff to ensure they feel confident to teach Science.
- Contribute to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Review process to quality assure the provision of Science.
- Oversee the Science curriculum to ensure there is consistency, progression and challenge.
- Contribute and present to the Executive Leadership Team when invited.
- Be prepared to represent Science during inspection through inspection readiness and in interviews.
- To be able to teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum.
- Organising the classroom, learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the development of the Mamoura British Academy USP in this area.
- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
- Providing support and interventions for students with EAL or who have additional learning needs.
- Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
- Evidencing children's work and learning in line with the Mamoura British Academy Marking and Feedback policy.
- Being reflective of lessons taught and student progress, and adjusting planning, curriculum and continuous provision to reflect this.
- Meeting with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists, if required.
- Ensuring that the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are being embedded throughout the curriculum.
- Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school by sharing best practice, participating in school CPD and T&L initiatives.
- To be able to demonstrate effective use of technology through innovative and creative lesson delivery and continuous provision.
- Taking responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class of children to ensure that they reach above expected expectations.
- Meeting the requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development using Learning Ladders.
- Using data provided by assessments to influence further planning and interventions.
- Providing regular feedback to parents and carers on a student's progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
- To plan, prepare and contribute to termly Pupil Progress meetings.
- To follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote the TRACK Values to set high expectations.
- Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Maintain good relationships with pupils and parents and follow the school's procedures to manage and challenge any rare occurrences of unwanted behaviour.
- Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils.
- Carry out playground and other duties in a punctual, interactive and proactive manner.
- Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour & Safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS.
