Continuous Improvement Associate

Job Duties AndResponsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, responsiblefor co-facilitating continuous improvement work sessions that leadteams through rapid improvement events to address strategicprojects or value stream initiatives.
  • Supportsproven structured process improvement techniques by analyzingcurrent state conditions and identifying root causecontribution.
  • Assists efforts for establishingand sustaining improvement processes supporting a frontline leaderand the associated work group.
  • Assists teams toaddress local Hoshin projects orissues.
  • Provides a structured process to alignthe goals of the company (Strategy), with business’(PSLs, functional groups, geographies) plans (BreakthroughObjectives/Tactics) and the work performed in operations(Action).
  • Develops skills through applicationof Lean tools across many functions and processscenarios.
  • Facilitates training of small groupsto promote a Lean culture and develop leancompetencies.
  • Supports value added ideageneration throughout the work cell/work group at Gemba (the placewhere real action occurs and where the value-added activities takeplace) to promote a Lean culture (defined as a philosophy ofcreating a work culture that empowers individuals to relentlesslypursue waste elimination driving continuous improvement andmaximizing customer value).

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma and aminimum of 1-2 years experience in operations or manufacturingwhich includes experience in Continuous Improvement.
