Our clientoperates in the mining and marine industry and is seeking a GroupHR and Crewing Manager, to report to the CEO, CFO and COO, who willplay a vital role in heading the Company’s HR Departmentand fulfilling its human capital needs, managing employeerelations, staff benefits and making sure that the Company complieswith Labour and SHES

Responsibilities:

  • Developand implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with theoverall business
  • Manageemployee relations and industrial relations by addressing demands,grievances, disciplinary procedures, employee recognitions programsor other
  • Supportcurrent and future business needs through the development,engagement, motivation, and preservation of human
  • Overseeand manage a performance appraisal system that drives and supportsstaff
  • Developand review KPI documents with Line Managers prior to performanceevaluations for all departments being carried
  • PrepareAnnual HR Budget with quarterly
  • ManagementReporting and provide decision support to Exco through HR
  • Collectand analyze employee data for internal use by
  • HumanResource Management and Planning in accordance with theCompany’s strategic departmental organograms and budgetsapplicable to the Group (HR Department to provide budgets for allGroup HR requirements perdepartment).
  • Ensuringthat all offices/vessels/companies comply with the HR statutoryregulations applicable to the industry and company’s lineof
  • Managethe full recruitment and selection process for both office-basedemployees and sea crew (Local and Foreign).
  • Relatedto the Group’s work locations (Namibia, South Africa,Angola), that for all personal, crews attending these countries intime the necessary work visas, permits and restricted area permitsare
  • Manageand maintain the correct ethnical ratio of employment in terms ofthe relevant Legislation and Employment Plans in place, within thecountry of work and ensure implementation of transformation andintegration goals (BEE and CSI and EmploymentEquity).
  • Work onstrategic planning with Training Officer to ensure that a pool oftalent that is ready for staffing and succession planning both foroffice and offshore is in
  • Act asCompany HR Liaison between governmental organisations and the Groupand manage Company risk by being compliant and staying abreast withall Governing Legislation and statutory reporting
  • Participationin Governmental Audits to explain and demonstrate compliance tovisiting
  • Ensurethat an annual rolling rotation schedule is maintained, for all theOffshore Mining, Nautical crews and specialized office
  • Maintenanceof leave balances and reports for all Group Employees (office andsea crew). This includes the management of sea crew leave balancesto ensure strategic rotation for reducing and eliminatingsea/incentive leave
  • Review inconsultation with the COO and CFO of the HOD’s overtimerequests for all employees, ensuring compliance to Company HRpolicies and procedures prior to overtime being
  • Managespecial and planned Organizational Development (OD) projects and
  • SkillDevelopment programs – ensuring all requirements are met,learners enrolled in the program with supporting documentation andinvoices sent to the FP & M Seta Oversee crew managementand planning for all vessels with Logistics
  • Maintainand constantly review crew rotation schedules for optimaloperational
  • Overseecrew-related logistics (travel documents, embarkations,repatriations, visas and work permits, special restricted areapermits, medical certificates ) ensuring all staff/crew have thevalid relevant documentation and is saved on the
  • Managingthe ARGO Nautical crew requirements in accordance the ARGO crewcontract and set
  • Manageand maintain with the assistance of the Group’s securitypersonnel, the periodical polygraph session for the crew andpersons working in restricted areas (results of these polygraphingwill remain with security, COO and/or CEO).
  • Must beavailable as the main point of contact for all crew members andprovide support to Offshore Managers /superintendents on personnelissues such as disciplinary corrective
  • Havedaily contact with the dedicated vessel offshore managers andmaintain all HSE reporting from vessels and to the relevant
  • SARS taxreturns completed for
  • DMR auditrequired documentation and assistance with onsite

Requirements:Qualification and Skill

  • Grade 12Matric
  • HumanResources ManagementDegree
  • At least5 years’ experience in human resource
  • OffshoreHR Environment experience
  • Validpassport
  • ValidSeafarers Medical certificate
  • ValidPolice Clearance Certificate(PCC)
  • HUET(Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) – will be done byCompany
