We are seeking an Estimation& Proposals Manager (OIL & GASbackground) to join our prestigious clients team inAbuDhabi.

JobSummary: The Estimation and Proposals Manager isresponsible for managing the tendering process which includes thereview and approval of bids prepared by the proposal engineersaccurately estimating the costs and submitting the tenders. Thisinvolves analyzing project specifications conducting site visitsand collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders todetermine the scope of work and resourcerequirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of complete proposal /estimating activities of projects being tendered for largeintegrated Mechanical Electrical & Instrumentation andCivil projects exclusively in Oil & Gas Power Solar andPetrochemical sectors.
  • Ensure that theestimation and proposals team has a robust cost estimating /proposal process in place to meet the company growth strategy.
  • Identify and evaluate risks in all majortenders and develop strategies in place to manage the risks duringestimation process.
  • Utilize costmethodologies and tools and appropriate software models andpackages to prepare and maintain reliable and accuratedata.
  • Overseeing the tender preparation andlead the presentation to the tender board for necessary approvalsbased on DOA.
  • Contribute to the creation andimplementation of best practice cost estimating vision strategyprocesses and procedures to aid and improve operationalperformance.
  • Review analyze the win/loss ratioand develop historical information lesson learnt and makerecommendations for the process improvement.
  • Analyze update and capture the market intel andincorporate those in the estimations.
  • Managecoach and develop a high performing estimation and tendering teamthat meets agreed objectives delivers best practice results addedvalue and continuous improvements.
  • Develop andmaintain strong relationships with Internal and externalstakeholders to ensure Optimalperformance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Mechanical Engineering orequivalent
  • A minimum 10 years ofOil & gas experience in a reputed company isrequired.
  • Knowledge inestimation software would be an addedadvantage.
  • An energetic forwardthinking andcreative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriateprofessional image.
  • A strategic visionary withsound technical skills analytical ability good judgment and strongoperational focus.
  • An articulate individualwho can relate to people at all levels of an organization andpossesses excellent communication skills.
  • Anexcellent negotiator who is experienced incontracts.
  • Strong problemsolving andcreative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and makedecisions based on accurate and timelyanalyses.
  • High level of integrity anddependability with a strong sense of urgency and resultsorientation.
