LINQM is looking to identify a Contract toHire (W2 only) person for a role with our client.
Thiscontractor position reports to the UIT Project Management Office(UIT PMO) and works with a team of technical project managersassembled into multidisciplinary teams to complete a broad range oftechnology projects, whose completion is, in turn, critical to theentire University.
Proven experience withAgile, Waterfall and Hybrid project management methodologiesstrongly desired.
Experiencewith Oracle E-Business Suitedesired.
Experience withPeopleSoft Student and HR Administrationdesired
Experience withmanaging IT technical infrastructure, application and systemintegrations
Knowledge ofquality assurance and testing practicesdesired.
Knowledge of dataintegration across different technical platformsdesired.
The project manager is responsiblefor managing large and complex technical projects leveragingproject management best practices to drive continuous improvementand ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
ProjectManager is expected to weigh the interests of multiplestakeholders, acts with the highest professionalism and exerciseindependent judgment and decision-making.
Perform the full range of project management cycle: initiating,planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.Independently lead and direct projects requiring high levels offunctional integration and involving multiple disciplines to bemanaged.
Direct developmentof an action plan, and estimate requirements for resources,including management, labor, materials, and time required tocomplete projects.
Facilitate discussions and negotiations to drive recommendation andconsensus.
Develop and helpexecute comprehensive change management strategy and communicationplan relative to project scope and stakeholders; orchestrate andlead change management methodologies underlying projectsuccess.
Responsibilitiesinclude but not limited to: charter origination; scopeidentification and shaping scope definition; manage stakeholders,constituents and disciplines across Stanford and beyond, includinglocal cities/counties; risk-manage, control and report on riskassociated with more complicated projects, affecting division orprogram as it relates to their project portfolio; projectcomplexity involves synthesizing complex technical data and drivingdecision.
Adapt to tools,methodologies, and practices used by the UITPMO.
Qualification:
Educationand Experience
Bachelor'sdegree in a related field and five years of related experience inmanagement of projects with extensive size/complexity and moderateperformance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking,and budgeting, or combination of education and relevantexperience.
Ability toproductively assemble, engage, and lead cross-functionalteams.
Demonstrated projectmanagement ability to employ integration, scope time management,cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, andprocurement components.
Ability to balance customer expectations with projectreality.
Demonstratedresilience, diplomacy, influence,relationship building, and problemsolving skills in a variety ofsituations.
Knowledge ofproject management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC)strongly desired.
Provenexperience in developing and maintaining complex and integratedproject plans with proper work breakdown structure (WBS) stronglydesired.
Proven experiencein people, change, risk, and conflict management stronglydesired.
Proven ability tobuild relationships and motivate cross-functional teams to achieveresults in a consensus driven environment stronglydesired.
Ability to lead anddirect a team of internal and external technical and businessstaff, and align technical needs with business goals stronglydesired.
Solid experiencewith MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio),Smartsheet, ServiceNow Project Portfolio Manager (PPM), Zoom, Slackand Jabber are stronglydesired.
Certifications andLicenses
Project ManagementProfessional (PMP) certified completion of a Project ManagementCertificate program, or certification inprocess.
CertifiedScrumMaster (CSM) completion or certification in process isdesired.
