POSITIONSUMMARY

This job description sets outthe current duties of the job role that may vary from time to timewithout changing the general character of the job role or the levelof responsibility entailed.

JOBSUMMARY

The Kids Club Animator is responsible forreceiving all incoming guests by giving a courteous greetingdirecting them to the checkin desk ensuring a positive firstimpression and efficient processes for handling clients andbabysitting their children. The Kids Club Attendant is alsoresponsible to ensure that guest refreshment bars and ownerrefreshment trays are stocked as well as maintaining cleanlinessenvironment of the Kid Club facility. He/ She can supervise andplan all activities offered through the Kids Club. Planning aheadand prepare for activities according to the activity calendarensure all children attending the Kids Club have been registered bya parent or guardian. Create new and exciting activities to driveenthusiasm for all children in the resort Personally contribute tothe youth programs team goal of providing fun educational andcaring services to the children of members and guests in a warm andwelcoming environment. As a Kids Club Attendant you are responsibleto ensure that all Kids Club responsibilities are carried out in anefficient and timely manner. Must maintain the policy and procedureof Marriott International.

Educationor Certification

• Should ideally have adiploma or a vocational training in a kindergarten / children carerelated field with previous similar work experiences. A truepassion for children and a creative but caring mind areessentials.
• Good command of English and goodinterpersonal abilities are additionalrequired
• Certification in Child CPR and FirstAid required

SPECIFICDUTIES

The following are specificresponsibilities and contributions critical to the successfulperformance of the position:

• Createnew and exciting activities to drive enthusiasm for all children inthe resort
• Consistently offer professionalfriendly and engaging service
• Ensure allchildren attending the Kids Club have been registered by a parentor guardian
• Open and prepare Kids Club fordaily activities; ensuring all supplies and events are ready forthe day
• Plan ahead and prepare for activitiesaccording to the activity calendar
• Patience indealing with children and customers
• Ensure asafe clean and fun environment
• Ensure allequipment is clean and properly maintained ensuring regularfeedback is given to RecreationManager
• Maintain stock of items required forkids activities such as paints crayons papers toys etc. throughinventory and ordering new stock whenneeded
• Responsible for children attending theKids Club area and ensure safety and security at alltimes
• Ensure all areas are clean and wellmaintained
• Provide a high level of guestsatisfaction through effectivecommunication
• Follow hotel/ departmentalpolicies and procedures
• Follow all health andsafety sanitation policies andprocedure
• Personally contribute to the youthprograms team goal of providing fun educational and caring servicesto the children of members and guests in a warm and welcomingenvironment
• Build rapport with and take agenuine interest in all children and parents utilizing the clubschild activity services. Supervise onfloor operations and staffduring shift
• To have a creative and educationalactivity on daily basis.
• Offer a full variedinnovative and targeted calendar of activities and events for boysand girls who visit.
• Maintain the facility andequipment/supplies to company standards for cleanliness andsafety
• Assist with special projects eventsspecialty classes and party planning for the youthprogram.
• Be fully aware of clubs facilitiestimings promotions and prices
• Participate ineveryday activities such as organizing arts and crafts time leadinggames reading stories and singingsongs.
• Promote the clubs youth programs andactivities.
• Assist parents in programregistration and discuss any behavioral issues ofchild.
• To help keep facilities and equipmentclean neat and well maintained.
• Reportaccidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager; completesafety training andcertifications.

• Report work relatedaccidents or other injuries immediately upon occurrence tomanager/supervisor.
• Follow company anddepartment safety and security policies and procedures to ensure aclean safe and secure environment.
• Notify LossPrevention/Security of any guest reports of theft. Policies andProcedures

• Follows MarriottInternational Hotels Limited Regional Office policies andprocedures Protect the privacy and security of guests andcoworkers.
• Maintain confidentiality ofproprietary materials and information.
• Ensureuniform nametags and personal appearance are clean hygienicprofessional and in compliance with company policies andprocedures.
• Protect company tools equipmentmachines or other assets in accordance with company policies andprocedures.
• Perform other reasonable job dutiesas requested by Supervisors andManagement.
• Working hours as required to doyour job but normally not less than 48 hours per week. GuestRelations
• Actively listen and respondpositively to guest questions concerns and requests using brand orproperty specific process to resolve issues delight and buildtrust.
• Assist other employees to ensure propercoverage and prompt guest service.
• Anticipateguests service needs including asking questions of guests to betterunderstand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferencesand acting on them whenever possible.
• Addressguests service needs in a professional positive and timelymanner.
• Engage guests in conversation regardingtheir stay property services and areaattractions/offerings.
• Thank guests withgenuine appreciation and provide a fondfarewell.
• Welcome and acknowledge each andevery guest with a smile eye contact and a friendly verbal greetingusing the guests name when possible.
• Supplyguests/residents with directions and information regarding propertyamenities services and hours of operation and local areas ofinterest and activities. Communication
• Answertelephones using appropriate etiquette including answering thephone within 3 rings answering with a smile in ones voice using thecallers name transferring calls to appropriate person/departmentrequesting permission before placing the caller on hold taking andrelaying messages and allowing the caller to end thecall.
• Speak to guests and coworkers using clearappropriate and professional language.
• Talkwith and listen to other employees to effectively exchangeinformation. Working with Others Support all coworkers and treatthem with dignity and respect.
• Handle sensitiveissues with employees and/or guests with tact respect diplomacy andconfidentiality. Develop and maintain positive and productiveworking relationships with other employees anddepartments.
