Job Purpose

Experienced communications and content specialist to support the DP World Partnerships team in the build-up to, and activation of, COP28.

As Senior Officer - Partnerships Activation, you will be responsible for driving the content programme that delivers on the COP28 communications strategy and deepening engagement for DP World amongst global policymakers and other key stakeholder groups.

You will work within the DP World Partnerships team to develop a communications and content strategy. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing content strategies to attract and engage a target audience respective to COP28. The primary objective of the role is to drive brand awareness and thought leadership, engagement and lead generation through the creation and distribution of high-quality written and visual content.

The ideal candidate must possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Most importantly, they must have a passion for storytelling and a genuine interest in the global sustainability agenda.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Support Support the Partnerships Activation Lead on the development of a communication strategy for COP28 and the key events leading up to this, liaising with agency partners and internal stakeholders to ensure coordination and input around key messaging and narrative. Responsible for the internalisation of the master messaging amongst the global communication leads and any other respective department involved with COP28. Develop and execute a fully integrated content strategy in collaboration with DP World\'s retained communication agency that aligns with COP28 messaging and the business strategy to educate and inform DP World\'s target audience. Communications Management and Content Execution Manage the content creation process from ideation, working with the DP World business to identify relevant stories that can be told to elevate DP World\'s presence in the run up to and throughout COP28. Manage cross-functional teams, including DP World agencies, editors, communication leads and DP World brand and digital functions to publish and amplify content across paid, owned and earned platforms. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sustainability, business communications and regional units to ensure that content is aligned with COP28 goals and objectives. Project manage individual content campaigns, including liaising with local partners, production companies and creative teams to story-board ideas, through to managing the creative development of content. Collaborate with external partners, such as influencers, DP World partners, publishers, and media outlets, to expand the reach of content marketing efforts. Stay up-to-date with the latest content marketing trends, tools, and techniques respective to COP28 and share knowledge with the DP World team and its agencies. Measure and analyse the effectiveness of content marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed to optimise performance. Events/Activation Management Support on the execution of communications and content during COP28 - and other events in the lead up as required - from conception to completion, including liaising with venue and organisers, managing vendors and coordinating logistics between DP World executives and the partnership opportunities. Reporting to: Partnerships Activation Lead

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Bachelor\'s degree and minimum 5 years\' experience in communications and managing the delivery of large-scale communication and content campaigns. A process-driven individual and proven project manager with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail. Self-starter who thrives under pressure, can prioritise multiple projects, take initiative and is driven to achieve results in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams. A strong written and oral communicator with a passion for storytelling and the sustainability agenda. Must have an integrated mindset to communications and storytelling - and understand how content can be amplified across bought, owned and paid channels. Must be commercially creative, always seeking ways to develop original and engaging content respective to the channel/ platform. Ability to analyse data and measure campaign performance. Experience managing a team of content creators and freelance writers. Flexibility with working hours - DP World is a global company, and some opportunities may be outside of standard office working hours. Knowledge of the industry is desirable but not essential. Temp role until 31st December 2023.
