Job Overview

As a Cardiac Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during cardiovascular procedures and surgeries. This includes but is not limited to, cardiac catheterizations, open-heart surgeries, and other related procedures. You will work closely with the surgical team to ensure the safety and comfort of the patient throughout the entire procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures and surgeries
  • Monitor patient's vital signs and make necessary adjustments to anesthesia levels
  • Assess and manage patients' pain levels before, during, and after procedures
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth and safe flow of the operation
  • Administer and manage medication for pain relief and treatment of complications
  • Continuously monitor patients' condition and react promptly to any changes
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and their families
  • Stay updated on advancements and developments in the field of cardiac anesthesiology

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited university
  • Completion of residency program in anesthesiology
  • Fellowship in cardiac anesthesia is preferred
  • Board certification in anesthesiology
  • Current state medical license
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac anesthesia
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures
