KeyResponsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia services forpatients undergoing cardiac surgeries, including coronary arterybypass, valve replacement, and hearttransplants
  • Monitor patients' vitalsigns and make necessary adjustments to anesthesialevels
  • Administer medications and fluids asneeded during surgery
  • Collaborate with thesurgical team to ensure optimal patientoutcomes
  • Communicate with patients and theirfamilies before and after surgery, providing information about theanesthesia process and addressing anyconcerns
  • Stay up-to-date with the latestadvancements in cardiac anesthesia techniques andtechnology
  • Participate in on-call rotations andrespond promptly to emergency situations

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor ofOsteopathic Medicine degree
  • Completed residencytraining in anesthesiology
  • Board certificationin anesthesiology and subspecialty certification in cardiacanesthesia
  • Current state medical license andDEA registration
  • Strong knowledge of cardiacanatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
  • Excellentdecision-making and critical thinkingskills
  • Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm andcomposed in high-pressuresituations
