This is a hands-on role.


Responsibilities

Blockchain: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and secure backend systems for a chain built using EVM L2, AVS, Cosmos SDK (and CometBFT / Tendermint soon). Ensure high availability, performance, and security of the blockchain networksScale : Design and develop scalable backend systems which can handle billions of transactionsFunctionalities : Implement core functionalities of the L1 chain, including modules for consensus, governance, staking, and token economics.Automation : Implement automation tools and frameworks for deploying, managing, and monitoring blockchain nodes, services, and related infrastructure components. Ensure code is properly built, tested, and deployed across environmentsCloud Management : Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimize resource utilization. Monitor and scale resources as needed to accommodate network growth and demandsMonitoring and Alerts : Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive identification and resolution of performance bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and issuesSecurity : Collaborate with teams to implement best practices for securing blockchain infrastructure, nodes, and data. Perform regular security assessments and auditsCollaboration : Work closely with software engineers, blockchain developers, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical support, and optimize blockchain operationsDocumentation : Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures. Create runbooks for troubleshooting and incident responseResearch and Innovation : Stay informed about the latest advancements in blockchain technologies and DevOps practices. Identify opportunities to enhance and optimize our infrastructure

Requirements

Backend Experience : 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer in product companies, with a strong focus on back-end development using Node.js, Express.js, GoBlockchain Knowledge : 2+ years of experience working on blockchain fundamentals, consensus mechanisms, and familiarity with Cosmos SDK and CometBFT / Tendermint.Cloud Platforms : Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services. Certification is a plusMonitoring and Logging : Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and APM solutionsSecurity Mindset : Understanding of security best practices, network security, and experience implementing security measures for blockchain networksDesign : Experience designing and implementing REST APIsDatabase : Proficient in working with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and knowledge of SQL query optimizationCollaboration : Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teamsEducation : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications in DevOps or cloud technologies are advantageous


Nice to have

Knowledge of Eigen AVSExperience in multi-chain crypto wallets, cross-chain communication and DID systems (i.e. ENS)Experience with Tendermint Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus protocol.Experience with Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocolProficiency in working with decentralized protocols, such as IPFS, Ethereum, etc.
