Job Description
An Auto Electrician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in vehicles. They diagnose electrical issues, perform repairs or replacements, and ensure that all electrical components function properly. The Auto Electrician should have a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. They should also stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components and wiring.
• Install electrical accessories such as alarms, audio systems, or GPS trackers.
• Test and ensure the proper functioning of all electrical components.
• Use wiring diagrams and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends.
• Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or a similar role.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
