AGP LNG, a leading player in the oil and gas industry specializing in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President, Project Development, to join our team in Dubai. With strategic operations in the vibrant commercial hub of Dubai and subsidiaries in Singapore, India, Indonesia, and Vietnam, we are positioned for success and growth within the LNG sector.

We are currently seeking to recruit AVP, Project Development.

The position will be based in Dubai to oversee the development of LNG Terminal Business in Asia mostly.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully lead LNG Terminal project development on budget, on time and meeting the company's profitability targets.
  • Specific duties include prospecting, site identification and assessment, information gathering with local government, viability analysis and relationship management.
  • Monitor and analyse government policy and LNG/Power market data to recommend forward- looking strategies for profitable project development.
  • Setting the strategy for Southeast Asia and growing the long-term pipeline
  • Manage LNG terminal project permitting, including interactions with national, provincial, and local government entities; industry groups; and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance to the permit requirements during the project execution and operation
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, and financial resources to support the project development process. Appoint and manage external consultant where required.
  • Develop viable technical and commercial solutions to LNG project opportunities.
  • Draft, review and negotiate various term sheets and contracts such as joint venture, terminal user, LNG and gas sales & purchase, vessel charter, O&M and construction agreements etc
  • Manage the contracts post signing

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in LNG/Gas to Power and LNG Terminal/ Downstream
  • Extensive direct professional experience in Asia with a strong network of professional contacts resulting from this experience, and which could aid project development
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding to discover and develop most suitable solution
  • Experience in high value complex contract negotiations
  • Experience of estimation and proposals for large and small LNG projects is preferred
  • Fair knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for LNG Terminal Business in the region
  • Insight into the markets, the stakeholders, and the future of the sector in Asia
  • Demonstrated management skills gained by leading teams to achieve results in challenging circumstances
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, preferably in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partners and colleagues in stressful environments
  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholder
  • Short time relocation might be required in South East Asia.
