Technical Engineer – Autonomous Systems

The primary impact of a Technical Engineer's function in the Remote & Autonomous Operations organisation is to ensure the successful delivery of autonomous technical solutions by effectively managing and coordinating resources, processes, and stakeholders while aligning the technical and operational objectives with the overall business goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains tactical approaches to ensure successful USV project operational delivery.
• Collaborates with project teams to identify, assess, and integrate USV systems solutions
• Stays informed of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in USV systems technologies. 
• Ensure support for efficient and effective implementation of innovative products/technologies/systems with regards to the USV 
• Ensures the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of USV systems and operational equipment 
• Provides technical support and guidance to ROC Superintendent, Site Manager, USV Chief Operator and other team members. 
• Coordinates with Technical Manager - Remote Systems to ensure seamless integration of USV operations with remote systems. 
• Ensures compliance with operational, environmental, and QHSSE policies and procedures. 
• Willingness to adapt to change.
  
  

You Bring (qualifications & Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in electrical / electronics / Naval Architect technical field, preferably industry related.
• 3 – 8 years' work experience, ideally within a related field or transferable experience.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of system integration
• Experience working with complex systems and in-depth problem solving.
