Lead Airworthiness Engineer

Track and monitor updates to regulations and guidance from the Agency.Revise DOH, DOP, and TPM as required to remain compliant.Verify that all design activities comply with the approval specifications.Accurately classify changes and repairs as per organizational standards.Prepare and review compliance documents to ensure they meet all regulatory and completeness criteria.Submit major change data to the Agency for Supplemental Type Certificate acquisition.Manage the archiving of design data and maintenance of staff records under the Office of Airworthiness.Develop and conduct targeted training for DO staff.Oversee the contractor and subcontractor monitoring program, ensuring compliance through audits and agreements.Address findings from internal and external audits by implementing and monitoring corrective actions for safety, quality, or compliance issues.Respond to and evaluate operational failures, incidents, or complaints.Independently verify compliance with applicable regulations.Safeguard original design data to prevent damage, alteration, or theft, ensuring secure storage.Ensure digital records are accessible to DO staff as needed.
Education & Experience
Hold a degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, with a preference for a Master's degree.Possess at least ten years of aerospace industry experience, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role within an EASA/GCAA Design or Production organization. Equivalent FAA or other NAA experience is acceptable.Demonstrate deep knowledge of EASA Part 21 and/or GCAA CAR 21, airworthiness requirements (JAR/CS/FAR25), and familiarity with DO Handbook procedures.Understand the relationships among EASA Part 21, Part 145, and Part M (or corresponding GCAA regulations).Remain unbiased by project deadlines or pressures, maintaining a firm stance on certification integrity.
