Tosupport the Product Development department, via direct or indirect involvement,in :

• Designactivities to support Company projects and technology development.
  
• Designand review of new and existing Company technology.
  
• Developing,revising, reviewing and approving drawings, control schemes and programs(software / firmware) required to communicate, control, and operate assethardware and processes.
  
• PerformingEngineering verification analysis to assess suitability of design.
  
• Testactivities to qualify and validate equipment designs in accordance withprocedures and industrystandards.
  
• Design,test and deployment of Company technology.
  
• Supportingthe Product Development department in meeting the ongoing requirements of the business.
  
• Liaisingwith other departments in the business to support the development of design solutions.
  
• Reportingprogress to Design Engineering Manager.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Developdesigns from concept through to finished product in line with design request andequipment technical specification.
  
• Providedesign engineering support to the business.
  
• Communicatewith staff and external parties on the application of any; electrical,electronic, and programmable hardware, firmware, and software.
  
• Communicategroup activities on the: specification, adherence, supply, control, andconsumption of electrical energy.
  
• Communicateand advise on the safe use of electrical energy to enable the manufacture and testing of assets along with its connection,disconnection and consumption across all Projects and Operations.
  
• Creatingquality designs, drawings, calculations and supporting documents in line with designrequest requirements.
  
• Determinethe availability of assets and assemblies based on their electrical:certification, condition of repair, allocation, and operation.
  
• Responsiblefor leading, attending and contributing during engineering design reviews.
  
• Assistin the evaluation of product viability.
  
• Supportengineering cost and delivery estimates for proposing development of new technology.Sure project progress is sufficiently communicated to Design EngineeringManager and key project stakeholders;
  
• Undertakerole of lead electrical design engineer on Company projects.
  
• Checkand approval of technical documents associated with design development.
  
• Activelypromote a positive team working environment within the Product Development and InterfacingDepartments.
  
• Providesupport / assistance in the process of assembly and testing of new products.
  
• Ensurebusiness and design development engineering processes and procedures areadhered to;
  
• Ensureeffective and productive client relationships are built and maintained.
  
• Responsiblefor writing technical documents and specifications for new and existing products.
  
• Supportinghandover of new technology / equipment to Product Line Department.
  
• Providingguidance & mentoring to less experienced members of the team.
  
• Adhereto company QHSE policies and procedures.
  

Qualifications/Training:

Degree qualified in relevant field (ElectricalEngineering)

Preferred:

BOSIET and MIST

Chartered Engineer or working towards

Experience:

• Engineeringexperience in electrical / mechanical equipment design and manufacture

• Designdevelopment of new products / technology

• Experiencewith fast paced project delivery

• Providingengineering solutions to design problems 2D CAD Systems

 Preferred:

• Experienceworking in Oil and Gas Industry

• Experiencewith drilling, solids control or drilling fluids areas

• Knowledgeand expertise in Electrical Design Engineering

• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills

• Proficientin hand calculations for verification of design suitability

• Prioritisingconflicting workloads Working to tight deadlines

• Self-motivatedand ability to work under pressure.

• Goodteam player with sound interpersonal skills

• Experiencewith design and testing of new technology.

• UAEValid Driving License

Preferred:

• Handson experience with assembly and testing of new technology.
