The Senior Analyst for Corporate Strategy reports directly to the Chief of Corporate Strategy, within the Strategy and Strategic Capital department of Dubai Future Foundation. The Corporate Strategy and Strategic Capital department ensures all efforts and resources of the Foundation are oriented towards creating significant, tangible value for Dubai’s sectors, people and government, both in today’s terms and for what the emergent future needs and opportunities may be. The activities of the Corporate Strategy team can be categorized as two primary areas of focus: Strategy Design and Strategy Execution. This department drives the organization’s strategic direction by guiding initiatives and implementation, by ensuring KPIs and processes for in-house innovation, all exist. As a critical impact, the Corporate Strategy department supports decision makers by building an understanding of what is happening within the economy and business sectors across Dubai that will affect the future. Senior Analyst As the Senior Analyst for Corporate Strategy within the Dubai Future Foundation, you will support the Strategy function in defining the way forward through desk-based and primary research (both qualitative and quantitative), managing project performance and focusing on data collection. The role will require strong planning, research, storytelling and presentation capabilities and the use of project management tools for tracking. Overall, you will explore and develop ideas, systematically manage the implementation of projects and support the innovation process. Your duties and responsibilities: Strategy• You will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning process through researching long, medium, short term trends and collecting relevant information, including the preparation and facilitation of workshops with internal and external stakeholders.• You will be accountable to follow up and measure performance and progress towards organizational strategic goals.• You will be expected to present your projects ideas by creating strategic well-thought, evidence-based proposals including provisional budgets, resource requirements and timelines.• You will also strategically and critically assess ideas to understand the risks, benefits and opportunities of all projects and ensure all ideas are fully explored.• You will also execute any additional projects or tasks as requested by the Chief of Strategy and/or senior members of the team. Project Management• You will contribute to the execution of the strategy by working on strategy components such as templates, KPI scorecards, management tools. You will work collaboratively with the other departments, ensuring that the strategy is communicated and easily understood by all throughout the organization.• You will monitor and assess all projects, acting as a consultant, challenging the business to align with strategic goals and targets.• Your role will include providing support to the business units on project management, tracking and following processes to relay status at the corporate level.• You will proactively update dashboards that monitor high-level project updates to ensure the Project Managers has real time project information• Your role will be to support and contribute to the organization’s approach to the measurement and evaluation of projects with a focus on the contribution to an organizational dashboard for impact and organizational effectiveness.• Your role will emphasize documentation and tracking to support CEO level updates. Ideation• You will be expected to present your projects ideas by creating strategic, well-thought, evidence-based proposals including validated research, economic information alongside technical project details such as budgets, resource requirements and timelines.• You will also strategically and critically assess ideas to understand the risks,benefits, and opportunities of all projects and ensure all ideas are fully explored.
• You ensure the idea bank and pipeline is managed for tracking.• You will proactively stay aware of regional and global situations, economics and research to bring ideas, concepts and trends into the innovation process. Internal Partnerships & Third Party Relationships• You will build strong partnerships within the business to encourage ideation and shared brainstorming that can lead to innovative and disruptive idea generation.• You will work closely with the project teams to ensure projects consistently align with the strategic aims of the business and achieve the expected results.• You will support in engaging with external partners and stakeholders to learn and influence business strategies, while constantly remaining alert and forward-thinking about opportunities and risks in the external environment is key to your role responsibilities.• You will partner with internal stakeholders to support projects and initiatives, ensuring that they stay focused and deliver results that are aligned with the Dubai Future Foundation’s strategic objectives.
