JOB TITLE
Senior Manager – Commercial Development | MAF Retail | UAE HO
ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Manager – Commercial Development is responsible for the development of best-in-class commercial processes and standards. The role holder is also responsible for identifying new trends and developing innovative ideas to enhance sales growth of the business.
ROLE PROFILE
Analyse category performance, derive insights, define category role, mass plan and family sequence and being aware of market trends and innovation and propose for countries best practises
Incorporate brand counterparts in CWT / MIT agreements on category decisions.
Support the private label with category management analyses and implement a comprehensive merchandising solution.
Analyse the overall performance of category assortments within countries and recommend innovation/changes.
Liaise with Corporate Head Office Finance and Data Analytics team in allocating the right space by department and sections.
Stay abreast about new concepts and guarantee implementation of best practices and ensure standardisation in all countries.
Coordinate with data analytics team and the Merchandising and Sourcing teams in all countries to better understand the needs and recommend appropriate solution to develop & implement strategy.
Ensure the implementation of the performance management process and oversee the development and implementation of on the job-training.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree with management specialization
Master’s in business administration is advantageous
Preferably 7 – 10 years in leading category development or closely related industry
5+ years of experience in retail business and/or key multinational brands.
High level skills in management (experienced communicator, proved ability to build capacity and develop stakeholder engagement) of a large and complex organization
Open minded, able to work on an international & multicultural environment
