Job Description
PURPOSE & SCOPE:Jobs at this level are responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work and for carrying out allocated duties related to the preparation, checking and issue of Engineering deliverables. This can include site visits and close liaison with the Design Office Coordinator.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Receives allocated duties & studies client documentation &Scope of Work.• Creates drawings & documents register.• Prepares specifications & datasheets• Co-ordinates with the DOC.• Prepares the PR.• Undertakes technical evaluations.• Site surveys.• Reports on work progress.• Man-hour estimates for bids.• Prepares materials take offs.• Input for planning package.• Reviews “as built” drawings.• Trains Entry Level Engineers.• Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.
Skills Required
• B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably M. Sc. in Mechanical• 8 year’s Engineering experience in the oil and gas industry preferably with an EPC Contractor in the field of:• Upstream oil & gas design facilities, including: separation, oil, gas & water conditioning processes and associated equipments, preferably offshore.• Ancillary facilities and equipment associated with oil and gas industry, preferably offshore.• Supervisory potential.• Planning and organising skills.• Influencing skills.• Thorough understanding of specific Engineering disciplines:• Process;• Instrumentation and control;• Piping;• Electrical• Knowledge of Engineering software associated with rotating equipment sizing and office & planning tools.• Good command of written and spoken English.• Good technical knowledge and skills covering:• Hydraulic processes and equipments• Associated equipment (rotating & static);• Thermodynamic processes, gas compression and conditioning);• Stress, Strain and mechanical vibration analysis on oil & gas equipment;• Lifting equipment used in oil & gas industry;• Drivers and their characteristics;• Good knowledge of up stream oil & gas applied processes, including separation, gas conditioning, water disposal, etc. equipment selection and integration.• Good Communication skills.• Good optimization skills.• Teamwork oriented.#J-18808-Ljbffr
