KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Role Summary

Responsible for all aspects of the enterprise risk management function of EDGE Liaise with key decision makers (EDGE Corporate, EBS, EDGE Clusters and Entities, EDGE Internal Audit and EDGE Audit and Risk Committee) to establish, run and improve risk management framework and processes at EDGE Group.

Key member of Finance Leadership team owning all risk related assessment, reporting and mitigation management.

Core Accountabilities

•Design and implement a robust Enterprise Risk and Opportunities Management (EROM) Framework.

•Work with the Executive Management across the Group to promote and embed a risk management culture.

•Drive the identification, communication, measurement and management of Group-wide risks.

•Support Management / BOD in defining the risk appetite and thresholds at Group and Cluster level.

•Build risk awareness in the Group through active coaching, guidance and support.

•Proactively engage the Risk Champions to monitor & report the risks, build tools & processes, drive risk informed decision making and enhance risk informed execution.

•Ensure that a comprehensive and continuous risk identification process is in place.

•Undertake risk assessments and risk mitigations where required

•Prepare risk reporting tailored to different stakeholders (ARC / BOD / Executive Management), including monitoring and report of top strategical risks at Group level and mitigation plans.

•Undertake risk assessments and risk mitigations where required and monitor the application and effectiveness of risk management processes.

•Advise EDGE Group leadership on external risk mitigation and decisions required to manage internal risks including Review and advise on risk position of new major contracts or internal business proposals, in collaboration with Management

Supporting Accountabilities

•Facilitate sharing of Risk Management best practice across the Group.

•Experience in development, implementation and monitoring progress against Risk Management objectives and goals

•Experience in implementing transformation projects in multinational / holding company organization settings

•Clear and confident communicator with the ability to secure buy-in at all levels across a wide-range of internal and external stakeholders

Experience

•Minimum 15 years in Risk Management and 8 years in a Leadership role for a large corporate. Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable.

Education

•Bachelor’s / Master’s in Risk Management with specialization in Strategic Risk, Financial Risk, Operational Risk or other related fields,

•Certification in FRM, SRM, etc. is preferable

Key Skills

•MS Office

•Knowledge of key Finance metrics with the ability to track for progress

•Knowledge of key Strategic Risk metrics with the ability to track for progress

•Knowledge of Risk specific technical requirements e.g. best practice, legislation and regulation, methodologies, systems, third party providers

•Proficiency in the English language
