About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Waiter/ress to join the F&B Service Team at Jumeirah Beach Front Properties. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Greet guests with warm welcome and smile.Escort them to their tables.Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired.Check guest's identification to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements or requirements as per local law.Offer food and wine suggestions.Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.Responsible for cashiering service such as generating bills from the MICROS system/ presenting guests with fully supported bills or accounts that can be settled by pay approved method, including, and not limited to advance payment, credit/debit card payments, local and foreign currency.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in English and a second language (Russian, German, Arabic or French) would be an added advantage.At least 2-3 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury hotel.Food and alcohol handling certifications.
