Our client is a global Professional Services company and they have an immediate need for a 6-12 month Disbursement/Treasury accountant. You will form part of the Finance team and the role is based in Dubai reporting to the Treasury & Projects Manager. This is a very multi-national environment that needs highly skilled and professionally qualified candidates. This office is the hub for 9 legal entities spread across 3 countries.Key areas of responsibility will include;• Prepare Oracle Batch Payments in relation to Suppliers’ invoices and Employees’ expenses• Enter FX Deals on Peoplesoft system in relation to IO settlement• Ensure IO payments are timely processed via online banking system• Ensure all invoices/expenses received for processing are coded and approved as per the company’s approval matrix• Review Banks/Funding and work with rest of team in relation to Cash Flow Management• Organizing & Communicating weekly Payment Run Dates to the rest of the team, vendors and employees as needed• Liaison with banks as needed• Reconciliation of Supplier accounts before disbursements.• Handle Ad-hoc supplier payment requests/queries• Assist in Bank reconciliation• Process manual cheques as needed• Assist in Month end closing process• Regularly update the Excel Bank Reconciliation Report with Oracle AP payment register• Always abide by the global AP closing deadline• Office Petty Cash Management• Filing of Payment Vouchers and other disbursements documentation• Support on Internal/External audits as needed• Assist in Bank Guarantee application process as needed and ensure the proper approvals are in place as per company policies
In order to be considered for this 6-12 month fixed term role, you must have a degree in accounting and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a treasury role. Ideally you will have experience in a Professional services company however this is not a must. Knowledge of ORACLE would be a major advantage and understanding of US GAAP accounting standards is a must. All candidates must have excellent English, highly presentable, flexible to travel in the region and have a very good sense of management and organization.
