The Data Centre Site Engineer with experience in technical support as well as data centre operations is responsible for the maintenance of UPS systems & electrical systems in the Data Centre. He ensures support for the other departments for the smooth running of the Data Centre. He shall physically attend all the Maintenance as per the approved schedule.Reporting To: Operations ManagerKey Responsibilities:Managing electrical system major/shutdown maintenance including UPS, switchgear, generators, and mechanical.Managing new customer installations (cables, cold aisle cages, cages, etc.).Assist in reviewing and developing DC process and policies.Prepare and present periodic operational report as per the DC requirements.Inspection and validating the work completion, HSE and quality control.Internal audit for all processes and SLAs.Backup for DC site manager & site coordinator.Skills Required:Should have thorough experience of UPS systems, electrical systems (optional/add-on advantage: generators & basic HVAC systems)Experience of troubleshooting UPS systems & electrical systems (optional: generators & basic HVAC Systems)Good presentation & preparations skills of reports to customers & clients.Expert across all technical aspects within the scope of role.Good knowledge of DC process and policies.English read/write/speak is mandatory.Experience of Data Centre MEP infrastructure: power, cooling & facilities management.Personal Skills:Basic English knowledge is required.Basic working knowledge of PC systems and the CAFM mobile appPersistent and self-motivated.Excellent organizational skills and the initiative to learn and take on new responsibilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Good problem-solving skills and the ability to meet demanding time constraints.Self-motivated and independent.Excels with ambiguous situations as a chance to show leadership.Strong team player with the ability to influence/develop/maintain relationships with internal/external contacts.Articulate, friendly, and diplomatic with the ability to negotiate.Qualifications:Educated to university level and/or relevant industry certification with vast relevant industry experience.
