Job descriptionROLE SPECIFICATION – CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER – AARNA CAPITAL LIMITED Aarna Capital Limited (‘Aarna’) Background: Aarna is a newly established full-service execution and clearing brokerage firm, registered and regulated by Abu Dhabi Global Markets. As a category 3A licensed company, Aarna offers clients comprehensive access to global investment exchanges across multiple asset classes. With extensive experience in financial services, Aarna’s founders bring a wealth of expertise in navigating the dynamic landscapes of the financial industry. Role: Aarna seeks an accomplished Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to assume responsibility for all financial facets of the organization. Reporting directly to the Senior Executive Officer and the Board, the CFO will play a pivotal role in formulating financial strategies and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include: Leading the meticulous preparation and timely submission of Regulatory Reporting to various regulatory bodies, encompassing daily, monthly, and annual cycles, including FSRA, SGX, SCA, CFTC. Overseeing the comprehensive preparation of financial statements on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols. Monitoring Operations Reports, promptly resolving discrepancies, and maintaining meticulous records to uphold operational integrity. Collaborating closely with Management to address and resolve any unresolved discrepancies, while continuously identifying opportunities for process enhancements. Managing Accounts and Finance Administration, encompassing daily reconciliations, resolution of discrepancies, and meticulous record-keeping to ensure financial accuracy. Supervising bank account operations to guarantee compliance with organizational policies and regulatory mandates. Independently managing both Internal and External Audit processes to uphold organizational transparency and integrity. Working closely with the Senior Executive Officer and Management to execute strategic financial initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Conducting periodic risk assessments and regulatory evaluations to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory directives. Reviewing and refining organizational policies and procedures related to client money and prudential rules in consultation with relevant stakeholders. Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in financial services accounting principles, with a proven track record of strategic financial management. Comprehensive understanding of financial product treatment within established financial accounting standards, including CRD IV and SA-CCR regulations. Expertise in Client Money Rules and a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks. Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with counterparties and financial institutions, coupled with adept problem-solving skills to address issues expediently and effectively. Exemplary representation of Aarna, exhibiting professionalism and integrity to enhance business and professional relationships. Skills: Exceptional proficiency in financial accounting practices, coupled with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. Superior interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to fostering teamwork and organizational cohesion.
