Be ready to make your mark a top company, in an exciting and dynamic industryJob DescriptionJOB PURPOSE:The purpose of the job is to effectively manage Operational Risks the assigned business portfolio of the bank and and ensure timely & proactive escalation of issues to enable business units function efficiently.Individually contribute (IC) to the team in managing the assigned functions.To maintain independency of risk in challenging the business on matters of divergent views.Lead and particpiate in the identification, assessment and prioritisation of operational risks across the assigned portfolioDevelop and implement risk mitigation solutions to reduce the likelihood and impact of operational lossesContribute to develop, maintain and implement the operational risk policies, procdures and frameworkConduct operational risk assessments for the new/amended products, processes and system flowsArticulate the residual risks vis-à-vis the overall risk appetite & risk mitigation strategy of the group and offer risk advisory to the front end business units.Provide risk advisory to the business stakeholders on major projects in their portfolioEnhance coverage & quality of risk & controls library across units within the portfolioEnsure prompt completion of the RCSA through active review, challenge and validationEnrich KRI quality, reporting and validations and review breaches to fix the rootcauseReview and analyze the root cause of reported incidents in ORM system & escalate to line management as and when necessary.Review and monitor action plans agreed with the business stakeholdersPrepare loss data trend analysis and monitoring of loss approvals as per DOA in within the business groupTrain/coach the business stakeholders to spread awareness on operational risk managementPrepare & assist in monthly dashboards & other relevant reports as necessary / mandatedStay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices for operational risk managementUndertake adhoc assignments from line management#LI-SD1QualificationsGraduate / Post-graduate / Management diploma in Business managementMinimum 7-9 years of hands on banking experience in Banking/Risk Management / Internal Controls / OperationsProven experience in project handling and management with impeccable track recordDeep understanding of operational risk managementExperience in developing and implementing Operational Risk Management framework and Internal ControlsRelevant industry body certifications in Operational Risk, Anti-Fraud, InfoSec or BCM preferredSound relationship management and influencing skillsStrong analytical capabilities & problem solving
