TAQA is seeking a UAE National with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a relevant field, to join our Asset Management team within TAQA Generation.Job Purpose:The Senior Associate will coordinate most of the Asset Management activities related to GCC assets and ensure with the guidance from the senior Asset Manager the effective implementation of strategies, policies and activities to achieve optimal return on investment, profitability, operational excellence and maximize asset performance.Asset Management Implement asset management strategies, policies and initiatives. Develop an effective relationship with the operating company and the other shareholders/partners if applicable to support smooth and efficient workflow and communication.
Contribute to development and enhancement of Asset Management processes and procedures with the objective of establishing unified and standardized frameworks and tools across TAQA Generation portfolio. Carry out monthly operational and financial reviews of the assigned TAQA assets to assess progress against budgets and targets and identify the main variances and work with Asset Manager to propose corrective actions. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and trends of TAQA assets to identify gaps vs best practices and promoting action plans to capture untapped performance potential and value. Participate in ad-hoc exercise such PWPA extension, refinancing or any matters arising that require shareholders’ participation Review in coordination with business partners the annual budget and business plans to ensure its alignment to the organization’s long-term and short-term objectives. Review contracts and agreements of the asset and their related obligations to identify any risks or issues that might arise, as well as to ensure that the assets are managed effectively and in the best interests of TAQA, Carry out financial modelling activities in order to evaluate investment returns and identify opportunities to improve performance. Prepare clear and comprehensive presentations on all matters related to assets within TAQA portfolio to support process of internal analysis and decision making. Prepare, initiate and coordinate HQ procurement activities for any services required for implementation of Asset Management activities and initiatives. Coordinate work of advisors and consultant related to Asset Management initiatives to ensure efficient and quality implementation in accordance with timeline and scope of works assigned.
Prepare comprehensive research on different aspects of utility sectors in the countries of operations of TAQA assets. Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) performance reports in relations to respective TAQA assets.General AccountabilitiesCollaboration and Delivery with Taqa Business Partners Conduct the routine collaboration with all Taqa business partners including but not limited to Finance, Human Capital, Strategy, IT and Legal to: Identify and bridge areas for improvements. o Preserve & create value.Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Provides inputs and implement policies, systems, and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
