Policy Strategy:Identify regulatory initiatives in Middle East which could have a significant impact on the business (or the interests of our customers). Develop strategic plans – including on a cross-functional basis when required – to leverage opportunities and resolve identified challenges. Identify allies, ensure coordination and build alliances to affect policy changes.Political outreach:Manage the organisations reputation with government officials to establish and maintain our profile as a trusted and credible contributor on policy issues. Represent the organisation before public institutions, trade associations, think-tanks, and industry coalitions. Develop and manage trusted relationships with officials, and other relevant stakeholders.Business risk & opportunities:Anticipate new regulations in the region and work with the organisations business leaders to ensure they are apprised of relevant public policy developments. Work with a cross functional group of colleagues in the legal, security, privacy, compliance, sustainability teams to develop policy positions on relevant issues for the organisation, including cloud computing, digital regulation, digital sovereignty, cyber security, data privacy, and tax.
