Writing legal descriptions of real estate; interpreting maps and plans; creating or updating various CAD maps; accumulating data on compliance with requirements for grants, permits, and environmental restrictions.It’s the job of the employee to keep track of daily department activity in both electronic and paper form, as well as to maintain full project records and design/drawing files for given projects.All necessary permits and contract documents are prepared; construction specifications are developed and reviewed for compliance with established rules and regulations; bid proposals are organized and cost estimates are calculated; materials, labor, and equipment costs are reviewed for accuracy; and technical construction guidance is provided as necessary.Participates in field and topography surveys for design assignments, as well as stake/field layout design components for construction projects; assesses road conditions and decides required remedial steps to repair or resurface highways; inspects work sites to verify designs and project requirements are being followed; He has many fiefdoms to manage.Using an in-depth grasp of engineering ideas and methods, calculates ratios, volumes, angles, grades, construction quantities, and other project components as required for the assigned project; offers cost estimates; and analyses calculations supplied by third parties.Examines a variety of residential and commercial plans, plats, permits, reports, and studies for ordinances and construction standards compliance; assesses designs and provides preliminary conclusions on technical compliance difficulties. Working with third-party architects and engineers to resolve issues and offer code compliance direction; evaluating and assessing the impact of the planned project; and making recommendations for approval and/or remedial actions to address deviations or violationsUsing GPS, GIS, and CADD software, prepares plans, skilled engineering drawings, specifications, details, maps, plats, and other displays for engineering projects; and collaborates with engineers and other staff to offer answers to City infrastructure needs.The responsibilities listed below are typical for this role.
